#7 in the 30 artwork challenge, for me painting in oils on paper after Matisse’s “Portrait Of Madame D. In Green, Blue And Yellow.” I wonder if time of day and type of music in the background has anything to do with the brush strokes. This one was birthed at midnight while listening to an oldies playlist that I forgot I had on my cell phone. I’m still trying to find my way with oil paint and composition and abstract strokes. She may not be a keeper but is an interesting version inspired by Matisse.
